preparing our youth for success as adults. Because of this compelling body of
evidence and community demand for programs and polices to support our youth,
there is growing bi-partisan support for mental health screening at the
federal, state, and local levels.

Teen Mental Health Checkups Recommended for All Teens
The
U.S. Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF), an independent panel of
private-sector experts in prevention and primary care, pubished a report in March 2009, recommending screening and treatment for depression in all adolescents by their primary care providers. |
